Audio lost 3.16 pp of Flipkart electronics order share across Q1 2026. Home appliances gained 3.53 pp. Two categories, nearly identical scale, opposite directions.
The audio contraction was not a single brand collapsing. boAt dropped from 22.22% to 17.99% of category orders, a 4.22 pp fall. Realme fell 2.45 pp to 6.80%. OnePlus dropped 2.33 pp to 5.77%. Three of the top four named brands in the category shed share simultaneously. Portronics gained 1.85 pp to 3.52% and Truke added 0.66 pp. Those gains do not account for what the larger brands lost. The category shrank and the named-brand gains within it were partial at best.
Home appliances reached 15.24% of Flipkart electronics orders, up 3.53 pp. The brand picture inside the gain is less straightforward. Bajaj dropped 2.64 pp to 3.02%. Crompton fell 1.94 pp to 3.05%. Orient Electric lost 1.28 pp. The three brands that most visibly held the category in Q1 2025 all contracted. Haier gained 1.10 pp, Godrej 0.87 pp, Atomberg 0.57 pp. The combined named-brand gains don't account for the full category expansion. Median basket value for home appliances in Q1 2026 was INR 3,715, second only to TV and video at INR 18,007.
Wearable technology shed 1.52 pp, but within it the brand shift is the sharpest of any electronics subcategory this quarter. Fastrack fell from 11.98% to 4.96%, a 7.02 pp drop. Fire-Boltt absorbed most of it, rising from 10.09% to 15.46%. Noise gained from 10.97% to 14.19%. The category contracted and two brands consolidated within a smaller pool.
Car and vehicle electronics grew 2.34 pp to 7.50%. Unbranded or unattributed orders account for 42.64% of the category, and no named brand holds more than 3.63%. The share gain is real, but the brand data is thin.
Mobiles and tablets held 42.56%, down 0.57 pp. Repeat rate was essentially flat at 36.35% against 36.89% a year ago.
This is not a sale-period story. Blog 6 showed home appliances performing strongly during the Republic Day Sale window specifically. Across the full quarter, the category held that share. The 3.53 pp gain is a sustained mix shift, not a promotional spike that normalised. For a home appliances brand on Flipkart, the incumbents lost ground inside a growing category. INR 3,715 median basket and named-brand gains that don't account for the full expansion is the specific opening in this data. Want a custom cut of this data for your category?
