Blinkit vs Zepto in Q1 2026: who grew order share faster?

Blinkit gained 2.22 percentage points of order share against Zepto in Q1 2026. At the end of March, Blinkit crossed 50% share for the first time since mid-2025.

Blinkit held 47.74% of combined orders in Q1 2025. Zepto held 52.26%. By Q1 2026 the split was 49.96% vs 50.04%. Blinkit's weakest month in Q1 2025 was February at 45.68%. In Q1 2026, February came in at 49.92%. The low point moved up by more than 4 points year on year.

Zepto improved faster on every habit metric despite losing share. Average orders per user per month jumped from 2.56 to 3.15 on Zepto, a 23% increase. Blinkit grew from 2.66 to 2.83. Six percent. Zepto's repeat rate reached 82.0%, up 4.2 pp YoY. Blinkit reached 78.6%, up 3.7 pp. Zepto's AOV fell from INR 374 to INR 362 as that frequency surged — more transactions, each one smaller. Blinkit's AOV grew from INR 508 to INR 533, and its orders per user grew more slowly. The two platforms are optimising for different things right now, and the data shows both working.

For an FMCG brand in a category bought weekly or more, Zepto's 23% frequency jump is the number that matters most coming out of Q1 2026.
