Buda Jeans Co held 16.24% of Ajio's bottomwear orders in Q1 2026. It was not in the top 15 bottomwear brands on the platform a year earlier.

Bottomwear added 1.16 pp of order share, reaching 13.85% of Ajio's fashion mix. Trousers gained 0.72 pp alongside it, where Buda Jeans Co also appeared, this time at 11.09%, behind Netplay at 11.84%. The AOV picture runs against the share gain on both subcategories. Bottomwear AOV fell from INR 2,128 to INR 1,909. Trousers dropped harder, from INR 2,142 to INR 1,739. Share grew as basket size compressed. The new entrant brands driving that share growth are pulling average order value down with them.
Sport wear gained 0.69 pp to 4.79%. Neonomad took 16.36% of sport wear orders in Q1 2026 having not appeared in the top 15 in Q1 2025. Teamspirit fell from 16.23% to 13.98% in the same period. Sport wear AOV slipped from INR 1,924 to INR 1,864, the same pattern as bottomwear and trousers: new brands entering, share rising, basket falling.
Men footwear shed 1.27 pp to 11.14%, the largest single category loss on the platform. Red Tape held roughly 23% of the category in both years. The more interesting move within footwear is Campus, which rose from 2.67% to 11.52% of men footwear orders, a near 4x gain in category share from one year to the next. Despite that internal shift, the category overall lost ground. Women footwear dropped 0.98 pp and traditional wear fell 0.93 pp. Both categories held or grew AOV: women footwear from INR 1,879 to INR 1,939, men footwear from INR 2,395 to INR 2,438. Fewer orders, higher baskets.
The clearest Q1 2026 signal for an Ajio brand manager: the categories gaining share are doing so with new entrant brands at falling price points. The categories losing share are holding basket size. If your brand plays above INR 2,000 AOV in fashion, bottomwear and trousers are getting more crowded at the lower end of your price band. Footwear is shrinking in volume but not in spend per order.
