The Indian Audio and Wearables market (wristbands, smartwatches & earphones) has become one of the most buzzed about segments in both marketplaces and D2C.
Boat is the front runner in this segment, with more than 30% volumeshare. Boat’s mid-range pricing (AOV of approx Rs. 1000) makes it a leader even when factoring price into the valueshare.
Other significant Indian brands, like Dizo, Noise, and Fire-Boltt follow a slightly premium pricing strategy with their AOV ranging from Rs. 1500 to 2800, capturing about 15% volume share.
The wearables segment has witnessed triple digit growth for the last two years in a row. Indian brands have now come to dominate this segment on the back of better understanding of Indian consumers, better product and pricing and superlative marketing efforts.
